Detangle the Show
This exercise requires at least three or four performers. It is similar to "Bring the Show Home", but with some important differences.
You will be given a purposefully flawed story setup. You are not about to perform the beginning of a story, you are about to perform the end. You may need to remember some information about who your character is, what they want, and what has happened in the story thus far, but you may also have some confusing information or you may be missing information (ex. "You want the donut shop to close, but your sister, who seems to have two different names, wants the donut shop to stay open. She also hates you. And you're both in love with the same person, Gary, who has indicated mutual interest in both of you. It's unclear what city you're in or how big the donut shop is.)
When everyone has been briefed, your goal is to play out a scene and find a satisfying conclusion to the story in less than the designated time limit (ex. "You are ten minutes from the end," or "You are five minutes from the end.").
